More than 200 programs and activities await new CU Boulder students beginning Monday, Aug. 20, during Fall Welcome, including College Day, convocation, CU on the Hill and the Welcomefest concert.Ìý
The , which last through Sept. 1, help new students engage with each other and life at college as they transition to campus.Ìý

Tuesday, Aug. 21
Convocation
Students getÌýa formal introduction to the academic community from CU Boulder babyÖ±²¥app, staff and student leaders.
Black & Gold Bash
TheÌýHerd’sÌýsignature kickoff eventÌýincludes bungee trampolines, a zip line, a ropes courseÌýand much more. Entry is free andÌýopen to all students.
Wednesday, Aug. 22
College Day
Students will have a chance to connect with their academic advisors, deansÌýand essential academic support staff while obtaining critical knowledge and resources about academic expectations and success. Learn more.
CU Kickoff
The Division of Student Affairs, babyÖ±²¥app Athletics, RHAÌýand CU Student Government will give an official welcome to students at theÌýofficial pep rally of Welcome Week, complete with the traditional appearance by Ralphie.
Connect at The Rec
Students will get the chance to experience all the fun and physical challenges that The Rec has to offer. Gaming trucks, access to the outdoor pool andÌýthe climbing gym all will be open to students. Fuel, in the form of snacks,Ìýwill be provided, too.
Thursday, Aug. 23
Buffs after Dark
Students will get toÌýtest their trivia knowledge, meet fellow Buffs or make their own street sign at this event in the University Memorial Center.
Effective Bystander Intervention Training
In this mandatory, interactiveÌýsession, students willÌýexplore the factors that hinder helping in situations where help is neededÌýand will practice the range of skills for intervening effectively.
Friday, Aug. 24
Find your Fit
Students will explore how health and wellness can enhance their experience at CU, while checking out the prizes, food and other activities happening at this carnival on Farrand Field.
UMC Fall Fest
Close to 4,000 students will visit the UMC for a night of exciting activities. This year’s lineup includes escape rooms, a hypnotist and snacks.
Saturday, Aug. 25
CU on the Hill
Students will have theÌýopportunity to get a free taste of local restaurant options while gathering with new Buffs for a day of summer fun.ÌýThe event includes a scavenger hunt, a free yoga class, the chance to win amazing prizes, live performances from CU's spirit squad and music from Radio 1190.
Welcomefest
Students will head to Farrand Field to enjoy the music of SnakehipsÌýand several other bands during thisÌýannual one-night music festival.
Wednesday, Aug. 29
Be Involved Fair
The Be Involved FairÌýis an opportunity for students to discover the organizations that make up the CU Boulder community. The annual event is held on Norlin Quad.
