The allows baby直播app and staff to develop skills in areas critical to student retention and success, with the opportunity to earn a non-degree certificate.

Through these educational sessions, you will develop the following conversation skills and techniques to work with students on a range of topics:

  • Assisting students who鈥檝e indicated a desire or need to make a change in their life
  • Actively calming down an escalated person, and learning when it鈥檚 time to get help instead of attempting de-escalation
  • Engaging in conversation around substance abuse
  • Being mindful, inclusive, supportive听and aware of our underrepresented student population
  • Responding and supporting someone who discloses a traumatic event
  • Learning the signs that indicate someone is contemplating suicide and how to have an open conversation about suicide

Offered by several departments in the Division of Student Affairs, baby直播app and staff are welcome to attend any individual session. Those who attend all six sessions will receive a non-degree certificate. If you attended any of these sessions previously offered during the 2017鈥18 academic year, they will still count toward听the earning of your certificate.
