This year’s CU system Diversity and Inclusion Summit revolves around the idea of not only beginning conversations with good intentÌıbut finishing them with the right impact. The summit is a two-day event packed with an assortment of conversations, all with the intent to provide insight into a wide range of topics—from slavery, conservative voice, race, religion, self care and more—to create a lasting impact on the ways we choose to carry ourselves through life.
The event begins Tuesday, Nov. 13,Ìıwith a keynoteÌıby Beverly Tatum, author of the book Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?Ìıand sought-after speaker on the topic of race, and ends Wednesday night with a free screening of the film Hidden Figures.
With attendance from all four CU campuses, the goal is to come together in collegiality and humanity and to embrace the different backgrounds and lived experiences, all to promote our values and improve inclusive interactions.
Hope to see you there.
