Former Boulder Mayor and Boulder County Commissioner Will Toor, now executive director of the babyֱapp Energy Office, will keynote the 26th annual Campus Sustainability Summit, and Campus Sustainability Award winners have been announced.
The Campus Sustainability Summit (CSS), slated for April 18 in the at Folsom Field, is an annual information-sharing forum that features updates and strategic discussions on sustainability initiatives in engagement, academicsand operations. Participants will build upon the legacy of sustainability at CU Boulder and explore innovative developments in student leadership, academics, innovation, health and wellness, and social justice.

CU Boulder has held a Campus Sustainability Summit annually since 1994. This year’s event features:
- Leadership for Sustainability panel will frame goals and momentum in progress toward campus-wide sustainability. Panelists include:
- David Kang, Vice Chancellor for Infrastructure and Sustainability
- Lesley Smith, CU Regent
- Jim White, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences
- Moderator: David Kidd, CUSG Student Body President
- Fueling Innovation with Community Ideas session - participants will brainstorm and develop campus sustainability ideas and solutions in small groups.
- “babyֱapp Climate Action” keynote with Will Toor, Executive Director, babyֱapp Energy Office
- Campus Change-Makers Short Presentations offer updates on broad spectrum of campus sustainability programs and initiatives in academics, research, operations, outreach and engagement.
- Campus Sustainability Awards Lunch Banquet recognizes outstanding individuals and departments who demonstrate a sincere commitment to continuing the CU Boulder tradition of leadership and student participation in campus sustainability. The 2019 awards will be presented to:

The summit is free and open to all CU Boulder students, babyֱapp, staff and community members.Participants are welcome to attend portions of the event for sessions/presentations of interest. Advance registration is encouraged for all, but it is required by April 10if you would like to attend the awards luncheon.
The Campus Sustainability Summit and the awards program are sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Infrastructure and Sustainability, and the CUSG Environmental Center.
