Electric vehicle charging station on campus

May marked the biggest month for EV charging on campus to date:

  • Total charging sessions: 419
  • Unique drivers: 65
  • Average charging time: 2 hours, 40 minutesÌı
  • Gallons of gas avoided: 560

The new additions bring the total number of EV charging ports on campus to 27, with 14 more ports on the way later this year in the Folsom Parking Garage.

In addition to the new SEEC chargers, the two-port charging station in the front visitor lot on the west side of SEEC is operational once again following a short closure during construction of the new Aerospace Engineering building.

Any babyÖ±²¥app, staff, students and visitors can use the new SEEC charging stations. Those without monthly or semester permits can pay at the stations, which double as the parking meter pay stations for those particular parking spots. For those with campus parking permits, information about how to access the chargers for free is available on the campus EV charging webpage, where details on use, cost and locations can be found for all campus chargers.

The new SEEC ports are all Level II, 240-volt chargers, just as the new Folsom Parking Garage chargers will be.
