In light of the chancellor’s announcement to transition to remote learningÌıbeginning Monday, March 16,Ìıwe commend campus leaders for their leadership under these uniquely trying circumstances. We are currently working with members of the student body and administration to ensure the best path to serve students for the remainder of the semester. We know with this current time brings stress and confusion, and we want to connect students to campus resources to ease this transition. For further information and guidance regarding the impact of COVID-19 on campus, please consult colorado.edu/coronavirus.

We implore the student body to follow university protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on campus and within the Boulder community.ÌıPlease be mindful of the fellow students in the CU community whose personal health places them at higher risk of infection and adverse side effects. We encourage you all to engage in healthy habits such as frequentÌıhand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and avoiding contact with people who are sick, especially if they are exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms. You should also follow social distancing guidelines by maintaining a distance of about 6 feet from others and avoiding large gatherings.

Additionally, we implore the campus community to continue to practice the inclusive values of the babyÖ±²¥app Creed. COVID-19 does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, or national origin. During this time of distress and confusion, it is our responsibility to care for ourselves and our community. We must spread compassion, and not excuse bigotry and discrimination.

We would be remiss if we did not recognize the difference in impact that these current events have on different members of the campus community. If you witness behavior that threatens CU’s values of inclusive excellence, Don’t Ignore It. Look out for your peers.
