My name is Allie Reuter, and I am the president of the Senior Class Council.
I am immensely proud of the graduating class of 2021. We have made the most of our time at CU despite the unprecedented circumstances we have faced for the last year. The class of 2021 is a resilient group of students that are committed to working hard to better those around them. We have proven to be outgoing, courageousÌýand humble. It has been a pleasure growing and learning with these outstanding students.
On behalf of the senior class, I would like to thank all of the babyÖ±²¥app and staff who have helped us reach our potential. CU Boulder has been our home for the last several years, and I am forever thankful for what have been the most challenging, yet most rewarding years of my life. I know my fellow graduates feel the same.
My hope is that each of you will feel celebrated in the weeks to come.ÌýWe have created many in-person opportunities for students to be recognized for their amazing accomplishments, and I encourage you to participate. While we may not have the traditional commencement ceremony we once imagined, we have the opportunity to create new traditions and make the most of the opportunities we have been given.Ìý
Finally, I ask that you please tune in for our virtual commencement ceremony on May 6Ìýat noon MDT. You will not want to miss it.ÌýDwinita Mosby Tyler, from The Equity Project, has been invited to deliver the commencement address. We could not be more excited to learn from her as she imparts wisdom on us before we enter the world post-graduation.
If you are not a senior and are interested in joining the Senior Class Council next year, please email scc@colorado.edu.
It has been an honor to serve as the Senior Class Council president. I wish you all the best as you start the next chapter of your life. My life is better because each of you was in it. I look forward to seeing how our paths will cross in the days to come. Congratulations, class of 2021.
Sincerely,
Allie Reuter
Senior Class Council President
