CU Boulder earned a spot on the recently published IIE Open Doors survey’s for institutions hosting the most international scholars engaged in academic and research activities.In 2021–22, CU Boulder hosted 671 scholars, up from 649 in 2020–21.
On campus, international scholars fill crucial rolesas tenure-track babyֱapp, postdoctoral associates, professional researchers and visiting professors—adding diversity to classes, labs and other campus activities.
International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) Director Diana Salazar expressed excitement that international scholar numbers are once again on the rise following the decline caused by the pandemic.
“CU Boulder is a top-ranked, tier-oneresearch institution that offers incredible opportunities for international research and collaboration. We look forward to continuing to work with departments to support their efforts to forge international partnerships and bring world-class experts to campus,” Salazar said.
Current IIE rankings are based on information from the 2021–22 academic year.
