Provost Russell Moore announced the resignation of Glen Krutz, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, effective June 1 (or a date to be determined to ensure a smooth leadership transition). After the leadership transition, Krutz will assume full-time work as a tenured professor of political science in the college, focusing on experiential learning and community service.
“I am grateful for Glen’s service as executive dean for the past 20 months during a challenging time for the college,” Moore said. “Glen will now focus on a successful close out of the semester in strong support of babyֱapp, staff and students in the college and in partnership with its deans of division.”
Moore said that later in the spring he will announce an executive leadership plan for Arts and Sciences.
Krutz began his position as executive dean of Arts and Sciences on July 6, 2022, having served as dean of the Oklahoma State University College of Arts and Sciences. He also held the college’s Puterbaugh Foundation Chair and was a professor in the Department of Political Science.
His scholarship explores political institutions and public policy, including questions of agenda-setting and institutional change, and he frequently contributes to cross-disciplinary environmental projects.
