CU Boulder, along with partners—city of Boulder and Boulder Downtown Partnership—announcedan extension of the successful Hill Ambassador Program through 2025. The partners are investing $203,050 in financial and in-kind support.
Program overview
In 2021, the three organizations joined forcesto launch the program to focus on quality of life issues, such as cleanliness and safety, as well as hospitality services for businesses and visitors within the Hill commercial district. Ambassador responsibilities include daily maintenance (graffiti removal, trash pickup, etc.) as well as providing directions and helpful information to visitors and residents.
Program achievements
According to Block By Block, which helps to administer the program, conservative estimates for services conducted in the Hill area thus far in 2024include: 83 trash bags removed, 155 biohazards cleaned, 588 graffiti removals, 48 business contacts, 299 hospitality contacts, 15 welfare checks and outreach referrals.
