Mya Hollingshed becomes 1st CU women’s basketball player selected in 1st round of WNBA draft

A year ago, Mya Hollingshed chose to forego the WNBA draft for a chance at an NCAA Tournament selection. That decision was the start of the buildup to a more recent entry draft, where Hollingshed was selected as the eighth overall pick in the first round by the Las Vegas Aces.

University of babyÖ±²¥app Athletic Hall-of-Famer Cliff Branch finally had his dream come true, posthumously, as he was selected for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame—class of 2022. The induction will take place in Canton, Ohio, in August.

This Friday and Saturday, the CU track and field program is sending six student-athletes to the NCAA championships, five of them women. This represents the largest female contingent from CU competing at nationals in individual events since 2001.

The Pac-12 Conference announced the 2022 class of the Pac-12 Hall of Honor, including Jenny Simpson, who was a member of the cross-country and track and field teams from 2005–09. She is one of the most decorated athletes in CU history.
