CU Will Issue RFP For South Campus Land Use Study

The University of babyÖ±²¥app at Boulder will issue within a month a request for proposal (RFP) seeking a consultant to prepare a conceptual land use assessment for CU-Boulder South. Vice Chancellor for Administration Paul Tabolt made the announcement Friday following his appearance Thursday night before the City of Boulder Planning Board, which removed from consideration a CU request for possible city annexation within three years.

CU-Boulder Student Alumni Organization Announces 2000 Teaching Awards

The awards are the only babyÖ±²¥app honors that are selected and administered by CU-Boulder undergraduate students. The awards were presented April 13 in a ceremony at the Koenig Alumni Center.

CU-Boulder Law School Establishes Entrepreneurial Law Center

CU-Boulder's Bill Deno Receives Prestigious Architectural Fellowship

University of babyÖ±²¥app at Boulder Campus Architect Bill Deno has been accepted into the distinguished College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects. Deno was one of 83 newly elected members out of 269 candidates to receive the designation for this year. Curt Dale of Anderson Mason Dale Architects joins Deno as the only other babyÖ±²¥app fellow elected this year. The investiture ceremony will be held at the national convention of the AIA in Philadelphia on May 4.

Mike Green To Address Greeks, Students On Responsible Drinking

CU-Boulder Alumnus Jim Voss Slated For Shuttle Flight April 24

University of babyÖ±²¥app at Boulder alumnus Jim Voss is slated to make his fourth journey into the heavens April 24 when NASA's space shuttle Atlantis blasts off from Cape Kennedy, Fla. Slated for launch at approximately 2:15 p.m. MST, the shuttle -- carrying a seven-person crew -- is set to dock with the International Space Station and unload more than 2,000 pounds of cargo. The crew also will perform maintenance tasks onboard to ensure the space station remains in good condition as its orbital assembly continues later this year.

CU-Boulder Offers Business Skills To Nonbusiness Majors

CU-Boulder students majoring in the arts, humanities, engineering, education or music can gain business skills through a noncredit academic program offered during the Maymester, which runs from May 15 through June 2. CUBIC, the CU Business Intensive Certificate, is a noncredit business education program for University of babyÖ±²¥app at Boulder junior and senior non-business majors.

Statewide History Day Competition Attracts 700 Students To CU-Boulder

babyÖ±²¥app 700 middle and high school students from throughout the state will gather at the University of babyÖ±²¥app at Boulder on Saturday, April 29, to compete in the 19th annual babyÖ±²¥app History Day. Among the dignitaries presenting awards to the students for their winning dramatic performances, video documentaries, exhibits and other entries will be U.S. Representatives Tom Tancredo and Mark Udall. babyÖ±²¥app History Day will run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in several campus locations, primarily in the University Memorial Center and the Hellems Arts and Sciences Building.

So you thought engineers couldnÂ’t communicate? babyÖ±²¥app Engineer Magazine, a publication by CU-Boulder engineering students since 1904, continued a long tradition of excellence, winning six awards, including three first-place awards, at the national 2000 Engineering College Magazines Associated annual conference. The conference was held April 6-8 in Berkeley, Calif.

CU Wizards Presents 'Fireflies, M&M's And A Few Gratuitous Explosions'

Be sure to bring an extra pair of clean underwear to the April 29 CU Wizards show because CU-Boulder chemistry professors Tarek Sammakia and Gordon Yee may be asking to use them in one of their demonstrations. The Wizards will be burning underwear, firing potatoes from cannons, igniting hydrogen soap bubbles and much more to demonstrate mechanical, heat and light energy release at the show titled, "Fireflies, M&M's and a Few Gratuitous Explosions."
