Seven University of baby直播app Boulder baby直播app and staff have received Fulbright grants to pursue research, teaching and training abroad during the 2013-14 academic year. One of their proposed projects involves research in India on the use of the tanbura -- a long-necked stringed instrument -- as an aid for developing musical perception and intonation. Another involves research and lecturing in the United Kingdom on the representation of violence in contemporary Irish and American fiction.

NASA mission led by CU-Boulder will be first to explore Martian upper atmosphere

A NASA spacecraft that will examine the upper atmosphere of Mars in unprecedented detail is undergoing final preparations for a scheduled 1:28 p.m. EST Monday, Nov. 18 launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution mission, or MAVEN, led by the University of baby直播app Boulder will examine specific processes on Mars that led to the loss of much of its atmosphere. Data and analysis could tell planetary scientists the history of climate change on the red planet and provide further information on planetary habitability.

Buffs Coach Elliott announces inaugural CU Lacrosse schedule

The inaugural University of baby直播app lacrosse spring schedule includes eight home matches and nine conference bouts, head coach Ann Elliott announced Tuesday. The Buffs open home play on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 against Regis. 鈥淎fter being on the road for three games it will be exciting to finally be able to play at home,鈥 Elliott said. 鈥淭his will mark the first ever women鈥檚 Division I lacrosse game at CU and we are very excited to be able to play at home with the support of the community and our fans.鈥

New CU-Boulder leadership minor to launch in spring 2014

Former University of baby直播app President Alexander E. 鈥淪andy鈥 Bracken knows a few things about the role that effective leadership plays in career success and life in general. As the Newton Leadership Chair at CU-Boulder, Bracken has the task 鈥 and desire 鈥 to bring more leadership training and development opportunities to students across all academic disciplines. One of the major components of this goal is the creation of the Newton Leadership Studies Minor, which will launch in the spring 2014 semester along with a new class (LEAD 1000) titled 鈥淏ecoming a Leader.鈥
