CU-Boulder announces finalists for Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy

The University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder today announced two finalists for the fourth Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy. This month, the finalists will make one-day campus visits, during which they will hold public forums. The finalists are Francis Beckwith, professor of philosophy and church-state studies at Baylor University in Texas; and Richard Bishirjian, president of EDUcourses Inc. and president of Yorktown University, a for-profit, online liberal-arts university.

CU-Boulder conference to explore gender, media and religion Jan. 7-10

More than 70 speakers and presenters from around the world will be part of Media, Gender and Religion, a University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder conference to be held Jan. 7-10. CU-Boulder’s Center for Media, Religion and Culture (CMRC) will host the conference. All plenary sessions are free and open to the public with no registration required. They will be held at Old Main Chapel and the Center for Community on campus.

CU-Boulder stages final winter commencement ceremony Dec. 19

The University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder will hold its final winter commencement ceremony on at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Coors Events Center as the campus moves toward a single spring ceremony honoring all graduates. The ceremony, which is free and open to the public, will honor 1,736 candidates for degrees including 1,280 bachelor’s degrees, 280 master’s degrees, eight law degrees and 168 doctoral degrees.

Distinguished Speakers Board to host video chat event with Edward Snowden Feb. 16

The CU-Boulder Distinguished Speakers Board is pleased to announce its second event of the year: former National Security Agency system administrator Edward Snowden is coming to the University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder via video chat on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Ron Suskind , a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and former Wall Street Journal reporter, will moderate the event live from the Macky Auditorium.
