The findings can help geotechnical and structural engineers more effectively direct their reconnaissance efforts after future natural disasters鈥攊ncluding earthquakes, tsunamis and tornadoes鈥攁s well as provide them data that might otherwise be lost due to rapid cleanup efforts.
