Policies

A number of important policies, procedures, and guidelines exist to assist the physical development of the CU-Boulder campus. The most significant external and internal policies governing the practice of planning at CU-Boulder are listed on this page. The links below link to policies from the CU System Office and CU Boulder Campus. The following documents are subject to revision. If conflicts are discovered in referencing these documents, bring them to the attention of your planner.  Consultants are responsible for identification and compliance with all current codes and regulations. Procedures for naming facilities at CU Boulder

The CU Boulder list of functional name categories are:

  • Buildings – Academic
  • Courts – Family Housing
  • Centers – Non-Academic
  • Halls – Single Student Housing
  • Laboratories and Institutes -- Research Complexes
  • Multi-Building Apartments – Housing
