Graduate Student Travel Funds
The Department of Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering (CEAE) has a fund to support graduate student travel. The fund is designed to make the process for applying for supplemental travel funding straightforward; providing opportunities for graduate students to disseminate research and pursue professional development opportunities. Funding up to $1,000 per request is available in a given fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) with enough funding for approximately 10 awards per year.
Eligibility
Support is for graduate students enrolled in civil engineering, architectural engineering, and environmental engineering MS thesis and PhD programs. Students may be awarded these funds a maximum of one time during their enrollment.
Note: there is a limited number of awards available per year. If students apply and are declined, they are allowed to apply again in a future period.
Timeline
Applications should be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to travel but may be accepted up to 3 months prior to travel. Applications will be reviewed by Graduate Advising staff and babyÖ±²¥app leadership upon submission. Please allow up to 2 weeks for review and response. Note that the number of available awards resets at the beginning of each fiscal year on July 1 and funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If approved for funding, Graduate Advising staff will inform the recipient and provide them with reimbursement instructions. Reimbursement must be requested within 30 days following the travel.
