Advancing Innovation Through Industry Collaboration

Our classroom is the construction site. Engaging with industry is an essential part of the Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) program to ensure students and graduates are highly qualified and prepared to excel in a challenging career. Relationships between leading construction and engineering firms, industry associations and the CEM program create opportunities for hands-on internships and permanent placement following graduation.

Industry professionals are invited to lead classroom discussions on recent projects, current industry challenges, issues and advancements. Encouraging students to have proactive relationships with industry is a key component of the program curriculum. CEM students gain vital practical experience through visiting construction projects, spending time in company offices and conducting interviews for class assignments.

Partnerships with industry play a key role in research activities undertaken by CEM babyÖ±²¥app and students. Through direct support of research from funding entities such as the Construction Industry Institute and the National Cooperative Highway Research Program, CEM babyÖ±²¥app and students join with industry professionals to discover innovative research findings. Together the CEM program and engineering-construction industry are striving to develop the answers leading to high performance projects and long-term organization success.
