Students and baby直播app in the College of Media, Communication and Information traveled to Detroit, Michigan, this month for the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication conference.

Scholars from around the country returned to AEJMC in person this year after two years of remote programming during the coronavirus pandemic. The conference, held Aug. 3鈥6, featured 20 peer-reviewed papers from CMCI scholars, including seven papers that earned top awards.

The award-winning scholarship from CMCI and its alumni spanned topics like job satisfaction in journalism, market models for digital newspapers in Africa, the evolution of media ethics, and communicating about health literacy on social media.

Of note, Assistant Professor Ross Taylor received a first place award for his documentary on baby直播app refugees, Mango House. PhD student Sima Bhowmik and Assistant Professor Jolene Fisher also received first place for their paper, 鈥淔raming the Israel-Palestine Conflict 2021: Investigation of CNN鈥檚 Coverage From a Peace Journalism Perspective.鈥

In total, 24 CMCI baby直播app members and students from three departments joined the conference. They participated as moderators, discussants, panelists and workshop leaders in 16 of the conference鈥檚 divisions, interest groups and panels.

Founded in 1912, AEJMC is the oldest and largest alliance of journalism and mass communication educators and administrators at the college level. Today, the nonprofit organization includes thousands of educators, students and practitioners from around the globe.
