Associate Professor Amy Voida conducts empirical and design research in philanthropic informatics鈥攁n interdisciplinary domain that explores the role of information and communication technology in supporting initiatives for the public good. Dr. Voida has worked with numerous nonprofit organizations over the course of this research.
Voida holds a Ph.D. in human-centered computing and a M.S. in human-computer interaction from the Georgia Institute of Technology as well as a B.A.E. in elementary education from Arizona State University. She has held academic appointments at Indiana University, IUPUI; Cornell University; the University of California, Irvine; and the University of Calgary. She has worked at the Palo Alto Research Center and IBM Research. She holds adjunct appointments with the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and the CU-Boulder Department of Computer Science.
