What to Know Before You Go
It鈥檚 time! We can鈥檛 wait to formally recognize your accomplishments at the commencement ceremony. Here鈥檚 how to prepare and what to expect on the big day.
Where to Meet for the Commencement Ceremony
Campus parking will be free on the day of the commencement ceremony, but parking lots will fill up quickly. We recommend carpooling or catching a ride with a family member or guest if possible.
Head to Norlin Quad to begin the festivities. The spring commencement ceremony at CU Boulder begins with a time-honored tradition: the procession of graduates and baby直播app from the Norlin Quad to Folsom Field. Arrive no later than 7:30 a.m. at Norlin Quad to join this special procession through campus.
- 7鈥8 a.m.鈥擟omplimentary refreshments will be available to all graduating students. Then, follow the signs to find your college or school to prepare for the procession to Folsom Field.
- 8 a.m.鈥擯rocession departs promptly from Norlin Quad.
- 8鈥8:45 a.m.鈥擣ollow the standard-bearer for your college or school through Folsom Field security. You鈥檒l enter the stadium through Gate 14 or 18 on the north end.
The commencement ceremony will last around 90 minutes. This is your moment鈥攅njoy yourself and soak it all in!
Where to Sit in the Stadium
You will sit in a single-file line with your fellow graduates. Once you enter the stadium, make sure you are lined up with other members of your college or program and follow the directions of the commencement marshals in the yellow stoles.
What to Bring &聽Leave Behind
The procession will pass through security screening before entering the stadium. This will include walk-through metal detectors and may include wanding. To expedite the security screening, please keep personal items to a minimum. If you need to bring more items with you, please refer to the Folsom Field .听
Prohibited items include but are not limited to:
- Non-factory-sealed beverages or filled liquid containers, such as thermoses
- Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
- Glass or metal bottles or cans
- Professional-grade video or camera equipment, tripods or monopods
- Flyers and signs larger than 11鈥 x 17鈥
Items such as cellphones and keys are fine.
How to Stay Informed Throughout the Day
Keep an eye on this commencement site and CU Boulder鈥檚 social media channels for information on the commencement ceremony. If you haven鈥檛 already, sign up for in case there are any last-minute updates.
Find Your Specific Recognition Ceremony
In addition to the commencement ceremony, plan to attend the recognition ceremony hosted by your college, school, department or program. At your recognition ceremony, you may have your name called as you cross the stage.
