Biography

Hamed started his education at the American University of Beirut, then transferred to CU Boulder to complete his BS in Mechanical Engineering. He completed his ME in Engineering Management in 2016. Hamed is currently the Sales Director at  where his responsibilities include selling solutions that support product development for manufactured productt with a portfolio that consists of software, training, and solutions for CAD, PLM, AR, and IOT.

What made you decide to pursue a degree or certificate in Engineering Management?
I took some electives in the Program and enjoyed the coursework, and that the knowledge gained was relevant and useful to my professional work.

Why did you choose the Engineering Management Program at CU Boulder?
I was already a student at CU for my undergraduate program.

How did the program help you in your career?
The EMP helped me understand a lot of relevant concepts in my career and personal life. There were some classes that were very specific to certain areas such as statistics, and other classes that helped me in all areas of business and life, such as the leadership course.

What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
My leadership class taught by Professor Barbara Lawton was my favorite class because it had a profound impact on my approach toward leadership, personal development, and soft skills.

What advice would you give a new student in the program?
Try to implement everything you learn in some aspect of your personal or professional life as quickly as possible, so you can solidify the concepts for yourself.

How would you summarize your experience with the program? 
It was enjoyable and manageable with my work load.
