Presentation Platforms

Students have traditionally presented in oral and poster presentation formats throughout the conference. This year we will include a short “flash” presentation format.

(1) Student Flash Presentations: A brief TED-talk style presentation (3-5 minutes) highlighting the greater societal impacts and scientific contribution of a student’s research topic. Students presenting poster or oral presentations are also encouraged to participate in the flash presentations. This is an excellent platform for students with minimal research experience (undergraduates, new graduates). No results required, only enthusiasm!

(2) Student Oral Presentations: Standard 15 minute (10-12 minute presentation, 3 minute question) research oral presentation with PowerPoint slides.

(3) Student Poster Presentations: Standard research poster. Maximum size 4ft x 4ft.

There will be a student prize competition in each presentation format. Judges will be industry professionals and academic professors. For any questions regarding student presentations, please email Powell Hinson (powell.hinson@colorado.edu).

Sponsors

The success of our conference significantly relies on sponsors. A major portion of conference sponsorship will directly support student success such as student competition prizes and student travel. In return, companies or organizations can strengthen visibility to the diverse and talented attendee pool. Currently, our projected budget is $8,000 and registration costs will only cover about 15% of the total conference cost. We hope this year’s conference will have record-breaking attendance of undergraduate students, graduate students, professionals, and companies with your support and help. Below is a breakdown of sponsorship benefits and options:
