Job Summary
SCS Engineers听(SCS) is seeking an independent, forward-thinking engineer to assist with the workload of diverse, challenging solid waste projects in Virginia and adjacent states focused in our sustainable materials management (SMM) practice area.
听
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position includes opportunities for solid waste strategic plans, disposal options studies, rate studies, baby直播app analyses, collection center siting/permitting and design, transfer station and materials recovery facility siting/permitting and design (all phases, including construction plans, specifications and construction documents), zero waste plans, engineering analysis, feasibility studies, report writing, as well as construction oversight. Within a relatively short period of time, the engineer would have the opportunity to manage projects of varying size. This engineer will also have opportunities to assist in the continued growth and development of SCS' client base.听
Qualifications听
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering听required
- 0 - 5 years of experience in the Environmental Consulting Industry preferred听
- Experience in solid waste studies and facilities design and construction preferred
- Engineer in Training or Registered Professional Engineer preferred听
- Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies听preferred
- AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, other computer programs, and field equipment experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required
