Dear HR Liaisons,
We are writing to let you know that later this morning Assistant Vice Chancellor for Health and Wellness,聽Jess Doty, will announce in an e-memo to students, baby直播app, and staff that CU Boulder is ending its COVID-19 vaccination requirement, effective May 15 with the start of Maymester and the summer terms.聽Our university, including our Public Health and Medical Services teams, will continue to strongly recommend COVID-19 vaccinations for all our campus community as a safe, effective tool for minimizing the effects of COVID-19, including serious illness and death. We聽are in a different phase of COVID-19, due to聽the availability and efficacy of therapeutics, widespread vaccine intake, and population immunity have significantly decreased cases and impacts of the disease.聽
This change also aligns with:聽
- The federal government preparing to end the COVID-19 public health emergency on May 11
- The state of baby直播app having ended its vaccine and testing requirements for state employees in August 2022
- Our university peers across the country also making similar changes to their policies
As Jess will note to our campus, we will continue to monitor the COVID-19 landscape and adjust our protocols as necessary to remain aligned with public health guidance. We will also聽ensure the change is reflected in protocols, webpages, and other communications. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your partnership.聽
