DSCC Programs

The DSCC seeks to engage the campus community in diversity through dynamic programs, events, entertainment, and activities that encourage participants to cross boundaries of cultural difference. The Center fosters an atmosphere of learning and inclusiveness, emphasizing cross-cultural appreciation and commitment to social justice. Our programs illustrate our dedication to the pursuit of education in an environment that values multiculturalism as an essential element of a high quality education and healthy campus community.

The DSCC has a small collection of multicultural literature that is available for CU students, baby直播app, and staff to borrow. To browse our collection, stop by our Center in UMC 457 or click here for a list of titles. If you have a valid Buff OneCard and would like to check out a book, stop by UMC 444 or email dscc@colorado.edu.

Do you have used books that you鈥檙e interested in contributing to our collection? Email us at dscc@colorado.edu or drop books by the UMC 2nd Floor Reception desk, attn: DSCC. Any books that we are unable to use will be passed on during literacy drives on campus. Thank you!

The DSCC coordinates and develops nationally recognized history and heritage month programs that celebrate the rich cultural, social, and political contributions of diverse groups in our society. The DSCC follows a common calendar for each month; the specific events are in collaboration with various campus offices, organizations, and groups. Heritage Months include: Latinx Heritage Month, LGBTQ History Month, Native American Heritage Month, Black History Month, Women鈥檚 Herstory Month, and Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

If you are interested in collaborating with the DSCC on any of our events, please contact us at dscc@colorado.edu.
