Immigration Law and Policy Society
The Immigration Law and Policy Society (ILPS) seeks to raise awareness and generate discussion on domestic immigration issues. ILPS also serves as a database for immigration-related events happening in the area and provides students with a space to network with practicing immigration attorneys and learn about potential job opportunities. CU Criminal and Immigration Defense Clinic
The Criminal and Immigration Defense Clinic offers law students the opportunity to appear in both criminal and immigration court in defense of non-citizen clients. In the criminal context, law students represent clients who have been charged with misdemeanors in Boulder County, assisting them with bond hearings, motions hearing and trial. It also files affirmative applications for immigration relief, assisting recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), immigrant victims of crime and asylum seekers.
