Biomechanics, Neural Control of Movement, Motor Learning and Decision Making, Neurobabyֱapps
Ahmed's research focuses on understanding how the brain controls movement. She uses a neurobabyֱapp approach that combines techniques fromneuroscience, babyֱapps, psychology and engineering to investigate the costsand constraintsunderlying human sensorimotor decision-making, learning, andcontrol. Dr. Ahmed is the recipientof an NSF CAREER Award and a DARPA YoungFaculty Award presented to “rising research starsin junior babyֱapp positionsat U.S. academic institutions”. Her work has been featured inForbes,Wired,Time,PBS, and other national andinternational media outlets.
