Research Experiences for Undergraduates

Ecology, Evolution & Behavior

Students on the tundra
note: this opportunity is on what we hope will be a temporary hiatus- there will be no program in 2023

A program funded by the National Science Foundation.

A unique opportunity providing experience in field research in a dramatic mountain setting in the Front Range of the baby直播app Rockies.

The University of baby直播app Research Experiences for Undergraduates program provides students with the opportunity to participate in research projects at the University of baby直播app Mountain Research Station. More information about the University of baby直播app REU program, the baby直播app involved, the host site, and the application process can be found in these pages. Student participants will be housed at the Mountain Research Station. Participants will live in cabins at the station through the summer, offering an opportunity for participation in a unique, focused, research program.

Meals and Housing at the Mountain Research Station are provided, and participants will be paid a stipend for the 10-week program.

Program Goals

  • To train promising undergraduate students in modern research methods in the related disciplines of ecology, evolution and behavior using mentored independent research
  • To encourage undergraduate students, especially members of groups traditionally underrepresented in the sciences and those with little or no exposure to research opportunities, to enter graduate school in the biological sciences.

(Please note that this program is not intended for pre-medical students)

To this end, the participating baby直播app are committed to significantly involving undergraduate students in their research, to interacting with undergraduates at both a professional and personal level, and to introducing undergraduates to research in ways that will encourage them to pursue a career in biological research focusing on ecology and evolutionary biology.
