Daniel Sher to stop down as dean

May 30, 2013

University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder Provost Russell Moore today announced that he has accepted the resignation of Daniel Sher as dean of the College of Music at CU-Boulder effective June 30, 2013. Sher, who will have served in the post for 20 years when he steps down next summer, will return to the College of Music babyÖ±²¥app. He was named dean of the College of Music in July of 1993.

CU-Boulder fundraising leaders fund $2 million jazz studies endowment

Jeannie and Jack Thompson have made an unprecedented commitment to the Jazz Studies program at the University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder — building $1.6 million in combined gifts to trigger a new $2 million program endowment. To honor and recognize this transformational gift, the program will be renamed the Thompson Jazz Studies Program, as announced at yesterday’s annual Spring Swing big band concert. It is CU-Boulder’s first named program.
