Colonel Robert Bodisch

Rob Bodisch is a second-generation Marine. After completing recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, CA in 1991 and infantry training, he served as a rifleman with 1st Bn 23rd Marines until his graduation and commissioning from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in December 1996.

Upon completion of The Basic School in Quantico, VA, the Armor Officer鈥檚 Course and Scout Platoon Leader鈥檚 Course at Fort Knox, KY, Bodisch was assigned to 1st Tank Bn, 1st Marine Division in Twentynine Palms, CA from 1997-2000 where he served as a Platoon Commander and Company Executive Officer. Selected as an Intelligence Officer as part of the Supplemental MOS Program, Bodisch completed the MAGTF Intelligence Officer鈥檚 Course in Dam Neck, VA and assigned as an Intelligence Officer at 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and as the S-2 for Marine Air Group-36 in Okinawa from 2000-2003. He completed the Weapons and Tactics Instructor course in Yuma, AZ and deployed as an Operations Planner with USCENTCOM Coalition Forces Land Component Command in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2001-2002 during this tour.

After graduating from the Expeditionary Warfare School in 2004, Bodisch was assigned to 2nd Tank Bn, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC from 2004-2006 serving as the Commander of Company C and as the Battalion S-4. He deployed his tank company to Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005.

From 2006-2009, Bodisch completed a joint assignment as an Intelligence Officer with Joint Task Force North, USNORTHCOM, Fort Bliss, TX supporting numerous federal agencies along both U.S. borders. Following this assignment, Bodisch completed the US Army Command & General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from Webster University.

From 2010-2013 Bodisch was assigned to 2nd Tank Battalion where he served as the Executive Officer. He deployed twice during this assignment, first as a CJ5 Campaign Planner with ISAF Joint Command in Afghanistan and later as the J5 Somalia Planner with CJTF-Horn of Africa at Camp Lemonier, Djibouti. Upon his return, he was reassigned as the G3 Future Operations Officer at 2nd Marine Division.

From 2013-2014, Bodisch was assigned to the Marine Corps Combat Development Command in Quantico, VA in the Seabasing Integration Division. He was then selected for command and returned to 2nd Tank Bn from 2014-2016. Upon completion of his command assignment, Bodisch graduated from the Naval War College in Newport, RI with a Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies in 2017.

From 2017-2019, Bodisch was assigned as an instructor at the Air War College at Maxwell AFB, AL for senior leader students from the Joint Force, interagency, and international partner militaries. From 2019 to 2020, Bodisch was assigned to III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan as the G37 and later as the Officer-In-Charge of the Joint COVID-19 Response Center.  From 2020-2022, Colonel Bodisch served as the Commanding Officer of the Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji, Japan before his assignment as the Professor of Naval Science at the University of baby直播app.
