Types of Agreements

CU Boulder enters into many types of agreements to support sponsored projects. These agreements may or may not be funded. Agreement sponsors could be the federal government, foundations, other universities, or industry. These relationships are governed by terms defining each party’s rights and obligations.

Many sponsored project agreements received by CU Boulder are accepted under the signature authority of the Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG). These agreements, including incoming subagreements, usually require negotiation between CU BoulderÌıand the sponsorÌıand always require OCG'sÌıapproval and signature.
