Actions Taken Since July 2014 to Address Sexual Misconduct
- Hired civil rights lawyer with 18 years experience enforcing federal and state civil rights law, including as trial attorney for Civil Rights Division, US DOJ (July 2014)
- Created comprehensive 鈥渃ivil rights enforcement鈥 OIEC office with investigative, education, and remedial sub-units for all claims of sexual misconduct to ensure comprehensive response for entire community (August 2014)

- Provided bystander intervention training booster with a focus on sexual assault and intimate partner abuse in sixteen separate sessions for all Inter Fraternity Council affiliated fraternity chapters (Spring 2015 and ongoing)
- Trained and oversaw a Panhellenic Sorority peer education presentation for all member chapters on sexual assault and bystander intervention refresher (Fall 2015 and ongoing) and provided training for all new members for Panhellenic Sorority Chapters (Fall 2015)
- Updated and new resources for sexual misconduct concerns (Title IX Brochure, 鈥淵ou have Options鈥, Guidelines for victims) (Spring 2015)
- Dozens of training sessions for departments regarding improving climate (Spring 2015 to present and ongoing)

- Created a new online Community Equity course required for all incoming students addressing university policy on sexual misconduct and protected class discrimination and harassment. (Spring 2015)
- Updated, in-person Bystander Programming required for all incoming students that provides more specific skills on recognizing precursors to sexual assault (Summer and Fall 2015)
- Required, provided, and tracked in-person bystander intervention training for all incoming students (7,300 first years and transfers) (Fall 2015)
