Writing Certificate

The Interdisciplinary Certificate in Writing requires a minimum of 18 hours, and more typically 19 hours, in the specified certificate curriculum (see below), with at least 9 of those hours at the upper-division. Certificate candidates may not apply more than two courses (6 credit hours) from their major. Students granted the certificate will have earned at least a 鈥淐鈥 in any Certificate course, and will have averaged at least a 鈥淏鈥 across all Certificate courses.

Courses within the PWR

  • At least 6 credit hours required
  • PWR courses at the 2000 level and above
  • Independent study WRTG courses sponsored by PWR baby直播app
  • Courses within the PWR that fulfill the A&S upper-division written communication requirement
  • 1000 level PWR courses are not eligible for the certificate
Courses outside the PWR

  • At least 6 credit hours required
  • Courses outside the PWR that fulfill the A&S upper-division written communication requirement
  • Courses outside the PWR that treat theories and contexts pertaining to writing
Practicum Course(s)
