Astrophysics and planetary sciences
The APS STF program is focused on expanding the number and quality of the recitations that are used in ASTR1020. (the second semester general-education astronomy course taken by non-science majors.) The STF is attempting to better understand how ASTR1020 instructors use the Recitations as part of their instructional program; what topics and content are most appropriate for the recitation materials; what pedagogic approaches are best suited given the materials, the students, and the teaching personnel; and to identify potential existing materials and to develop new materials as needed. To accomplish this task, the STF will also evaluate the learning objectives for babyÖ±²¥app who teach this course (identified from their stated learning objectives, their course content, and the pre-established learning objectives of the selected textbook.)
