Students complete core leveling (BA-level) courses in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) in this online, non-degree program. Students complete 8 courses (24 credits) in 4 semesters (summer, fall, spring, summer), enabling them to apply for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certificate programs and/or Master鈥檚 programs in Speech-Language Pathology.

Applicants/Admissions
Applicants must hold a Bachelor鈥檚 degree, have a minimum 2.8 GPA, and complete all application requirements.聽 Applications must include:

The application deadline聽is March 1st聽for the cohort that begins the following summer. Preference may be given to qualified candidates from rural or high needs areas in baby直播app with a letter of support from their district or BOCES Director.
Program Cost
The SLPP courses are offered through Continuing Education. The tuition rate is the same for in-state and out-of-state students. The current tuition for each 3-credit course is $1,140 ($380 per credit) so the cost of the entire program is approximately $9,120 for in-state or out-of-state students (without textbooks or potential materials costs). Tuition rates are subject to increase.
Financial Aid
Students enrolled in the SLPP program are eligible to apply for the limited federal aid (loans only for a maximum of three semesters in a 12-month period) available to students who are not formally admitted to a degree program. Students from BOCES, high-needs, inner-city and rural districts are encouraged to talk with district personnel about financial support to complete the program.
Prerequisite Requirements
Students have used the SLPP coursework to gain entrance to a wide range of programs, both in and out of state. However, students should verify with their intended program of study to ensure that the SLPP courses meet their requirements. Completion of the SLPP program does not guarantee acceptance into CU鈥檚 MA-SLP program, which is a competitive process each year.
