Night of the Sharkive
On Thursday, April 27, 2017, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and University of babyÖ±²¥app Art Museum joined together to host a once-in-a-lifetime event at the Boulder Jewish Community Center celebrating the life’s work of Bud and Barbara Shark: the Sharkive. The evening supported the University of babyÖ±²¥app Art Museum’s effort to acquire the Sharkive, bringing over 2,000 items and prints to the museum and allowing unprecedented access to its riches to students, babyÖ±²¥app, and the community.
The event began with creative cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction of Shark’s Ink prints in the lobby of the Boulder Jewish Community Center. Following the close of the silent auction, guests were ushered to Levin Hall and served a farm-fresh family-style dinner by the renowned chefs of Big Red F Restaurant Group. After dinner, guests enjoyed live music and dancing with music by Chris Daniels and the Kings.
