Learn about CU鈥檚 strategy for the next five years and beyond.

Last summer, CU kicked-off a systemwide strategic plan to identify the university鈥檚 strategic priorities for the future. Working closely with CU President Mark Kennedy, Dean Sharon Matusik was named a co-chair for the CU systemwide听鈥淟ean Into the Future鈥 , together with CU Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Todd Saliman.

Matusik and Saliman identified six primary goals:

  • Lean into the Fourth Industrial Revolution
  • Optimize collaboration across departments, campuses, system and external partners
  • Make the case for CU with the state and reconceive CU's international role
  • Align all elements of governance: regents, system and campuses
  • Shine light on areas of success and need
  • Answer intractable challenges

Conversations and collaboration with many stakeholders have been considered key to the strategic planning process鈥攊ncluding working with the Board of Regents, baby直播app, students and staff, campus chancellors and their teams, and the broader CU community.

This collaborative process has resulted in , being explored by working groups:

  1. Access, affordability, and student success
  2. Discovery and impact
  3. Fiscal strength
  4. Diversity, inclusion, equity and access

The final strategic plan will be presented for review and approval at this summer鈥檚 CU Regent Retreat, with implementation planned for Fall 2020-2025.
